What Can I Do?

1. Put Thank a Youth Worker Day (TAYWD) on your calendar for November 3.

2. Check out the TAYWD website at http://www.thankayouthworkerday.org.

3. Send a link to the TAYWD web page to your friends and colleagues.

4. Sign up on the website to let us know you’re out there and to receive info and a reminder.

5. Wear and display an orange awareness ribbon on and in advance of TAYWD.  Ribbons are available for purchase at Awareness Ribbons: http://www.awarenessribbons.com/ribboncat.html

6. Engage your friends and colleagues to get involved and celebrate TAYW Day.

7. Update your Facebook or Twitter status and include the TAYW Day link. One FB example: “Today is Thank a Youth Worker Day. Make this your status today and thank a youth worker who impacts your life or community.”

8. Add a TAYW Day tag to your email signature.

9. Personally ask a local youth serving organization to get involved.

10. Write or blog about TAYW Day or the importance of youth workers in your community or your life.
