    Thank a Youth Worker tags were mailed to all the Indiana Journey Fellows with encouragement for them to say thank you to the youth workers in their community.

    In Indiana, several cities are participating in a “freeze-flash mob” on Thank A Youth Worker Day to call attention to the event. Each city has a coordinator. Below is a sample notice sent to participants in one city:

    Sample Notice to Participants

    What: Thank A Youth Worker Day Flash Freeze Mob – Thursday, May 3, 2012

    Where to Freeze: (sunshine location) on or near the Historic Courthouse, rain location) College Mall Food Court Area

    When: May 3rd, 2012 (Thursday) – 11:30-12:30 p.m.

    What to Bring: Thank a Youth Worker Flyer (pins if you want to pin it instead of hold it) and a business card so we can collect information on everyone who participates.

    Pre-event Meet Time: 11:30 a.m. Courthouse Check in-sign in/disburse outside to historic courthouse
    Mob FREEZE time: 12:05-12:10 p.m./Flyer in hand or pinned to shirt

    Mob UNFREEZE time: 12:10 – continue on with activities as if nothing happened – go to a designated area to debrief

    IMPORTANT 12:15-12:20 – mobbers MEET at designated area – (to meet/exchange photos/contact info./discuss) – map attached – and for those who can – let’s do lunch together.
